Boone on the post game said Tanaka was getting tired, didn't like how the ball was coming out of his hand at the end. So, it is what it is. I won't harp it on it too much more, we got the shutout!

Kuchel not being on this team anymore is huge for the Yankees. He was just insane vs them in Houston.

Kuchel not being on this team anymore is huge for the Yankees. He was just insane vs them in Houston. Too bad Tanaka outdueled Keuchel back in Game 5 of the 2017 ALCS when the Yanks won 5-0 (though that was in NY)! We could have gotten to him too! |

Kuchel not being on this team anymore is huge for the Yankees. He was just insane vs them in Houston. Too bad Tanaka outdueled Keuchel back in Game 5 of the 2017 ALCS when the Yanks won 5-0 (though that was in NY)! We could have gotten to him too! Yea I think the biggest problem in 2017 was they had to push the limits to beat Cleveland because of the Girardi challenge BS leading them to the 2-0 hole. Then by Game 1 even though Tanaka only gave up 2 runs the offense was just dead for that game and the next one. Plus as you say the other day there was aging players such as Ellsbury, Holliday, etc and CC was being relied on to carry the team at times then he would only last 3-4 innings. Since then the old tired veterans are gone and young blood has replaced a lot of them, there is a a solid #2 starter in Paxton who the Yankees did not have in 2017, and they have been able to plan for this series way in advance vs riding a run of trying to be hot at the right time. |

Oh happy day. The Yankees won. The men defeated the women in tonight’s neighborhood card game when the women had a huge lead only to commit a faux pas that lead to their disqualification in a close ending.,, it was one of those Bill Buckner just let the ball go through his legs moments...For me personally, it’s the first time I’ve been on the correct end of a three game winning streak...

I think home field advantage was critical in 2017 The scores of Games 1 and 2 were 2-1...if their offense wasn't gassed and won one of those games they go to the World Series. |
