Yea the pitching is the problem... Bad time for the whole lineup to slump. They’re due to break out tonight against Kate Upton’s pool boy.

That is staggeringly bad, but how is it possible to leave 26 runners on base? That is almost 3 per inning so I kind of doubt that number. With the exception of LeMahieu, Torres and Judge(up until last night) there has been very little production from the rest of the lineup. I know we are facing excellent pitching but we had several guys last night that were swinging at pitches that were never in the strike zone. Encarnacion looked historically bad. I would have put Stanton on the injury list 2 games ago and called up Wade. He can play infield or outfield and given us a little flexibliity. I know that would mean that Stanton would not be eligible for the World Series but we have to get there before we worry about that. What would be wrong with Romine catching tonight? I for certain have not given up but last night was certainly discouraging.

Runners left on base is a bit misleading. If Judge flys out with the bases are loaded, he has left three on base. If Torres comes up next and pops out, he has left three on base. That’s a total of six left on base, even though the bases were occupied by the same three players. It is a statistic of failed opportunity, rather than base runners per se.

Its for the last 3 games. Thanks. Perhaps reading comprehension is not my strong suit! The graphic wasn't well done. The last 3 games headline blended in with the rest of the hitters.

One thing we can all agree on. A couple more hits in a couple of the right spots and we’d all be happier right now...
It’s been a strange series. We’ve seen a lot of over-aggression in some big spots that have made the team appear to be tense...

We played much better most of the year. I don't think its just playing Houston that is the issue. We played better in Houston than Yankee stadium which is really strange.
Our lack of home runs is particularly strange to me.

The heat of competition, directly or as a spectator, often does that. It's not that hard to tell the difference between things said in anger and calculated meanness.
