No one here is surprised he left. We need starting pitching not home run power. He didn’t “leave”. His services are not being retained. More like being canned, you see. It’s not like working for the State of Florida. They don’t have to show cause. You can continue to sit in your cubicle for another 100 years if the smell of your rotting flesh doesn’t disturb the other employees. As long as your crooked, bony fingers can find a way to crank reports through that long-outdated computer on your desk, you’re in! All that said... I’m not saying any more... For now... (: How long before retirement, Russ?...

According to my models two years, three months, four days, and seven hours. That is when an asteroid will hit the earth...
I spent to long in universities to retire before I die which is just as well. I have more toys here....

I spent to long in universities to retire before I die which is just as well. I have more toys here.... Lol. Cue the bony, skeletal fingers reaching for the printer...You’re worse than me. Well, maybe... The company That does my installations is losing a young lady who is pursuing other interests. She’s hoping the next job will take her to “the finish line”. I told her that I don’t believe is such a line in life anymore, and that if there is, I don’t believe I care to reach it. I envision a wrinkled old fart in my future going about his business doing something. Don’t know what, but I’m sure it’ll be fun and interesting. And for you younger guys on the forum... MUCH more wrinkled than I am now, thank you...

There is a very really possibility the US government could collapse or default on its debt (or both of course). If it does retirements won't be worth much.
At one point in the twenties it cost 23 trillion marks to buy a loaf of bread in Germany. One can imagine what that did to savings. When governments go bye bad things happen.
