Maybe, maybe not. Is there any other union out there stronger than the MLB Players? Maybe the umpires. You don’t even have to know a ball from a strike... Good point and clowns like Angel Hernandez and C.J. Buckner stay employed.

Any predictions? Do you think the Yankees will actually pull this off? It might take 300 million over 8 years. I’ll vote for 8/320

to me that is too much unless we are going to ignore the spending cap/luxury tax for the next 8 years. Maybe without the Stanton contract it would work. I can see the Stanton contract being an anchor around the Yankee's neck for many years. They have the money but in a couple years they are going to have to pay Judge the sun, moon and stars. There is no way they can not go way over the luxury tax level with Stanton, Judge and Cole. I'm guessing Cashman has figured that out as well. They certainly could. Hal may not want to, and I wouldn’t either if I were him, but for sure they could and he’d still be making a profit.

Good Lord 9 years is a long time but it has been done before. I realize in 5 years $35 million may be chump change for a number one starter but that assumes that starter is still a number one starter at age 34. I guess that's the price of playing in the World Series.

If he sucks after a couple of years, can we impeach him?... Only if he does high crimes and misdemeanors.... Misdemeanor: 3.1 innings vs. Rays, allowing 5 runs and 7 hits. High crime: 3.1 innings vs. Red Sox, allowing 7 runs and 11 hits...

Either Heyman is just trolling the Twitter Universe or he's clueless to the old Boras "Mystery Team" mind trick.
