This is a good signing after Gardner performed so well last season, especially with all the injuries the team had. Gardner get a little boost in salary and the Yanks get a great clubhouse guy that can still really run and play great defense in LF & CF.

You're right Chi, not a surprise. The Yankees are going to need a CFer once again to make up for Hicks's long absence. I'm glad enough to have him back for the reasons you stated, although you have to wonder about rolling the dice on him one more time.
It worked last year, maybe we can squeeze one more out of him.

Brett surely benefitted from the juiced ball in 2019, but give him credit for being able to do so. In addition, we have Tauchman to back him up should the need arise. This contract comes pretty close to assuring that Gardner will finish his career as a legacy Yankee... |

Glad we got the Almighty Gardy back. If age catches up, we can always use him as a 4th outfielder and not pick up his contract in 2021.. I don't expect him to surpass 2019.. but he should still be useful.
Hope he doesn't get suspended for PEDS... Not that I like to accuse players without evidence, but THAT DOME OF HIS IS HUGE lol.. plus the dug out freak outs..
I love Gardy... but I'll be honest, it has crossed my mind on a few occasions...
