Only seen "Dune" from that list. Really been slacking in the new movie department. I have seen the Original DUNE a number of times and LOVED it. The SPice reminder me of Dead Man's Skull & Magic Mushrooms.
Going to have to wait a while until I get to see the New DUNE -- How was the New one?
It was good. I liked it. Good production values, characters, and special effects. The story only seemed to get going when the movie ended though. Will have to wait for the next part.

In 1984, I saw the original Dune (David Lynch) in a theater with friends from high school, though I was in college at the time. On each seat in the theater was a one-page front and back handout with terminology to help those who had not read the book. We all agreed that they should have simply made the movie twice as long with an intermission. We thoroughly enjoyed it, though. Roger Ebert, whom I loved as a reviewer, hated it. It got a thumbs up from me! Never saw the 1984 version. Heard it was campy but entertaining. It’s definitely flawed but well worth watching. Not sure campy is the correct adjective, as it wasn’t intended to produce humor. Just remember when watching that it is nearly 40 years old as a sci-fi/fantasy, only seven years following the first Star Wars. The real problem was having a film that should have been in two or three parts, scrunched together into one. There was some odd dubbing of one character that was distracting to me. I’d be interested to get your opinion on it.

I'll add it to my long list of movies to watch. Dune 1984 has one of my favorite actors, Max Von Sydow. I remember him from Game of Thrones. Though I know he had a long and illustrious career. Passed away in 2020 at the ripe old age of 90.

He played an assassin Joubert in Three Days of the Condor with Robert Redford. One of my favorite movies. Get the popcorn ready!

Damn IT!!! How did I miss this Movie??? Tequila put it on the Must See List...
The movie about a woman who has sex with a car didn't get any Oscar nominations. That's a huge mistake.
I have had sex on many cars; but my favorite was on a Classic Lincoln Continential in Valet Parking at the Cheesecake Factory. It had Suicide Doors...
Used to live around 500 or so Feet from the Cheescake Factory. It was my hangout. I bang a lot of the waitresses..
But was favorite, was one that I called Blondie--in a 4-week period we had sex in all the Bathrroms, the Storage Room, on the Beach in front of the Cheesecake, in a Valet Parking Tree and on the Valet Parked Lincoln = ALL while the place was open. She was beyond wild.
She got fired and for a while I was Banned but that didn't last long...
GOD I miss my YOUTH DAYS -- well I was 30 to 32 years old at this time...
Got to SEE this movie!!!

With the new Caped Crusader movie coming out, what are your rankings of best and the worst of the Batman movies? Never really cared for the franchise. I’m sure I watched a bit here and there. I thought the oddest choice to play Batman ever was Michael Keaton. I’d be interested in how he fared among my forum mates…

I thought the oddest choice to play Batman ever was Michael Keaton. I’d be interested in how he fared among my forum mates… Keaton was an odd choice. Typically, he had been in comedic roles (Mr. Mom) and played zany characters. In the two movies in which he played Batman, he was actually much more believable as Batman - in costume - than Bruce Wayne, the dashing billionaire bachelor man-about-town. Such is the magic of film, as Keaton is only 5'9". At nearly 6'4", Ben Affleck is much more credible physically, though Keaton brought more élan to the role in my opinion. Christian Bale was the better actor for the dual roles, and he also had the benefit of by far the best direction and story-lines. I would recommend the Dark Knight series, which was lauded by the likes of Roger Ebert, not simply as an excellent treatment of the genre, but an excellently crafted film in and of itself. Also, the films have top-notch supporting actors such as Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, and Gary Oldman - all Oscar winners.
