I slept well after going to bed about 12:00. The night before was hellish for me. I remembered a snippet of a dream from last night though. I called out in a sneering sort of voice “Well, HERE’s your delivery!”, and threw a package to my right. I think I woke up and actually did holler that out without waking Ruthie. The punch line is that I had thrown one of my pillows, which I found on the floor this morning… 😂 I sleep with a nice “real” pillow, but I like a high pillow, so I have a foam one under the good one. I never missed it the rest of the night… Oh, get off your high pillow, Inger! If I had said “elevated” woukd you have let this pass? No? What about levitated. If I could levitate my pillow, I wouldn’t need the foam one to elevate it… 😎

MY all time Favorite Series without a doubt = GOT (Game of Thrones) -- Just finished watching it for the 7th time (NO, I never get tired of watching it.
IF you haven't watched this beyond GREAT Series at least twice = You do not know whatnyou are missing!!!
Now more to come:
In an interview with the New York Times, Martin, who was heavily involved with the early seasons in terms of scripting and casting, revealed that as he stepped back to work on his The Winds of Winter book, his relationship to the show grew distant. "By Season 5 and 6, and certainly 7 and 8, I was pretty much out of the loop," Martin said. As for why, Martin said he didn't know and suggested asking showrunners D.B. Weiss and David Benioff, a representative for whom declined to comment.
Speaking of Martin's role with House of the Dragon, HBO Chief Content Officer Casey Bloys said, "George, for us, in this process has been a really valuable resource, He is literally the creator of this world. He is its historian, its creator, its keeper. And so I can't imagine doing a show that he didn’t believe in or didn't endorse." What Happened With Game of Thrones?
Based on Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire fantasy novel series, Game of Thrones debuted in 2011 and ran for eight seasons on HBO. The series saw characters vying to take control of the Iron Throne and become the ruler of the Seven Kingdoms while dealing with such supernatural threats as the White Walkers. The show also boasted a number of high-profile and unexpected deaths over its run, for which it became noteworthy.
The early seasons of Game of Thrones received much critical acclaim, and the series won a ton of prestigious awards. However, the later seasons of the show were decidedly less well-received. After the show concluded, a petition, which is still going strong, popped up asking for HBO to re-do Game of Thrones Season 8. Still, Game of Thrones remained a ratings juggernaut even during its final seasons.
HBO has been working on a number of other series set in Martin's fantasy universe, though several are still in the early stages of production. The first set to actually air is House of the Dragon. Based on Martin's Fire & Blood, the show takes place two hundred years before the events of Game of Thrones and focuses on House Targaryen, specifically that group's war of succession. Additionally, a sequel show centered on Kit Harington's Jon Snow is also in the works.
House of the Dragon is set to premiere Aug. 21 on HBO. The show's first season will run ten episodes.
House of the Dragon Star Hasn't Read the Book It's Based On By Math Erao Published 6 days ago
House of the Dragon star Matt Smith admits he hasn't read Fire & Blood, the novel the HBO show is based on: "It's a big f---ing book." matt smith from house of the dragon over fire and blood book cover
Matt Smith hasn't seen House of the Dragon yet -- nor has he read the George R.R. Martin book it's based on.
The actor spoke to Rolling Stone about the upcoming Game of Thrones prequel series and playing the villain in Morbius. While Smith didn't have much to say on the latter, he had plenty of praise for the new Targaryen-focused show. "I haven't seen it yet — and often your experience of making it is different from your experience of watching it," he said. "But I hope it's good. Obviously, you're standing on the legacy of a show that had a big impact on people. And you're never going to be able to recreate that. It's a bit like being in a band: you’ve got to play the hits, but you’ve also got to hope the second album delivers something that moves the narrative forward."
House of the Dragon Boss Reveal Game of Thrones' Showrunners' Reaction to the Spinoff
Not only has Smith not yet seen House of the Dragon, but he also hasn't read Fire & Blood, the book the series is adapting. "Not in its entirety," the actor replied when asked if he'd read the source material. "It's a big fucking book."
Despite not having read the book, Smith had nothing but praise for Martin and what he brought to the show. "The characters are really, really interesting," he said. "And it's based on George R.R. Martin's book. That's one thing we've got going for us: we're not just plucking fantasy out of thin air. It comes from the mind of George, who's really clever, and has created a world that feels like it's translatable."
Daemon Targaryen And Caraxes Are Both Complicated
On the series, Smith plays Daemon Targaryen, the younger brother of the king and who many believe should be next in line for the Iron Throne. "He's sort of an outsider," the actor said. "He's not black and white, there are shades of grey with him, which is what interested me about him. And his relationship with his brother is really interesting. It was a joy working with [Viserys Targaryen actor] Paddy Considine, who I've admired for so long."
The show will also shine a spotlight on numerous Targaryen dragons, as the series takes place generations before Game of Thrones when the royal family still oversaw dozens of flying beasts. "My dragon's called Caraxes. He's a bit of an avatar of Daemon — he's grumpy, sardonic, insular, volatile, chaotic," Smith said. "There's a very strong connection between the dragon and the dragonrider."

Moved your post here dome. I loved Game of Thrones until the last few seasons where they totally dropped the ball. Right now I am watching Better Call Saul, Westworld, Succession and Stranger Things. Anyone else watch any of those shows?

Anyone else watch any of those shows? I'm a few episodes behind in my BCS viewing, but from what I've seen it's one of the best shows ever. Watched Stranger Things but only episode of this season. Haven't caught Westworld or Succession but I hear they're both good. Started watching Jeff Bridges new show called The Old Man. I think I've seen 4 episodes and really liked it.

Did you like the ending for GOT dome? It was pretty much universally panned.
I still can't get over the latest episode of BCS. So good. I won't comment further because I don't want to spoil it for desousa.
Stranger Things and Westworld are enough of a trip without Mushrooms.

A study finds just how good LSD can be for your brain!!!
...Lysergic acid diethylamide, the tongue-twisting name of the psychotropic substance, is very popular in research.
In particular, the positive effect of the psychedelic in the fight against depression and anxiety disorders has been thoroughly investigated in recent years, including in a study published in the Journal of Psychopharmacology.
Although there have been no known deaths from an LSD overdose, the reputation of the drug – often colloquially referred to as acid – has remained largely poor. But that may now be changing.
A new study, which was published in the scientific magazine Experimental Neurology, is to prove meanwhile that LSD improves the human memory as well as the cognitive abilities!
According to the study, this is due to increased neuronal plasticity, which is the ability of parts of the brain to change their function and anatomy.

How 'House of the Dragon' weaves real-world echoes into its fantasy realm.
HBO’s ‘Game of Thrones’ prequel doesn’t disappoint. Cancel your Sunday night plans. And though it makes a few vital errors, 'House of the Dragon' just might be able to resuscitate a franchise that seemed ready to burn itself out.
