he's another lhb, maybe he works his way into the lineup against rhp, but he may only be up until the allstar break

or do they put judge back in CF, DH gleyber and sit grisham. don't know much about his fielding but like his OBP. his K rate & BB rate are virtually the same so maybe has a good eye. Possible...hadn't thought about that. As for Vivas' defense, apparently it's about the same as Gleyber. Interestingly, complaints re Gleyber have always been his defense, but he's actually looked pretty good out there this year. The DP he turned on Siri was textbook. It's his offense that has been severely lacking. The double play he turned on Siri was actually the first time I ever saw Gleyber throw with a sense of Urgency Unfortunately it's probably to late for Gleyber and the hitting has completely disappeared I mentioned in the game thread last night ... I cant recall Gleyber getting a single big hit this season and he has had so many opportunities |

Of course, most throws from 2B don't need to be thrown with a sense of urgency, and Gleyber has the tendency to casually flip the ball to 1B. But he can crank it up when needed, as he showed on that DP. As for his hitting...I wouldn't be surprised to see it pick up after the AS break. We shall see... |

I dont want t see him as anything more than backup 1B, 2B and 3B I've said repeatedly that IMO Gleyber's best suited for 3B. Absolutely don't mean this as a slam on 3B, but there is a lot less to think about there, and his defensive "mistakes" seem to come when he's trying to do too much...too much to think about. I also think he'd be able to focus more on his hitting at 3B. That being said...a lot to ask of anyone to take on a new position mid-year, especially a "walk" year. His offense might suffer even more while focusing on playing a new position. |

If Trevino misses game which is likely, does Rice do some catching or do we bring someone up. I'd think we would bring up a catcher.
