Idiot press again: To some one who would have no idea or be expecting such a question: “Is Sanchez going to be tested for coronavirus”? “I have no idea”. Headline: Sanchez MAY BE TESTED for coronavirus. Well, sure. Maybe for ovarian cancer, too... There are virtually no legitimate tests for COVID-19 available in the US right now so despite what some sportswriters make up I rather doubt that a young otherwise healthy man is going to be prioritized to use one of those tests when he merely has a fever. It is amazing the horseshit that sports writing has become. Sports writing? Just sports writing? The news, period. I guess, writing in general, too. When kids no longer have to do it in school, when are they supposed to learn it? Why, when I was young, they made us write. Not only that, but we had to write right, you see. There were times we had to stand at one end of the blackboard and start to write. We’d have to write all the way to the other end of that blackboard, writing right the whole way in chalk dust piled up to our waist. Both ways, I tell you! It wasn’t easy in those days... |

I thought Sanchez was in pretty good shape???? He is, but Dome won’t stop until Sanchez is an emaciated little bastard that can’t lift a bat... Remember some of Dome’s most famous campaigns... Pushing to bring players up from A ball because they were hitting/pitching well? Nunez for MVP? No retreads on the team (sometimes including players that were aged 26 or so in the retread pack)? Then also wanting to promote players who were already 31 and still in AAA? Or trade for them? You have to remember that while we love Dome, some days the mushrooms make you taller, and sometimes they make you small. We know that he’s got tunnel vision tendencies. To say he’s slow to change his mind is like saying... I can’t even think of a comparison... |
