I got an idea. Why don't we just make June 1 2020 and make it Jan 1st 2021 and start a new year... it'll be like time traveling.. and we won't have to live the last 6 months of the rona virus... we'll wake up and it'll be a new year and the virus will be gone.

MLB Considering Playing Season in Japan is Most Deranged Idea Yet
The ideas keep getting worse, all the games would have to be on tape delay.

Do they think the virus is not occurring there? They are in crisis formally.

Do they think the virus is not occurring there? They are in crisis formally. There are obviously other motivations. Baseball has long dreamed of a “world league”. We could someday wind up playing the World Series in Rio de Janeiro...Something like this is a potential starting point. The unforeseen problem MLB hasn’t though of is that these players they’re nabbing out of poor countries could simply stay home to play. Also, what countries actually give a flip about baseball? Oh, and what other countries can generate enough money to keep players home? Maybe I’m greedy, but I’d prefer to keep American baseball in America. That way we can maintain a fantasy that we have the best players and teams...<Recalling last season’s <Debacle in Britain>... 🤮 USA Japan Mexico Central American/ Caribbean Islands Korea Cuba Thant’s about it, huh?

I doubt an international league is realistic.

Ortiz does an awesome thing. "A group of healthcare workers on the frontline of fighting coronavirus at Boston’s Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center got the surprise of a lifetime from Boston Red Sox star David Ortiz and actor John Krasinksi — free Red Sox season tickets for life. It happened on the latest installment of Krasinski’s “Some Good News” YouTube show, which in just three weeks has produced headline-grabbing moments of joy, like when the original cast of “Hamilton” reunited to sing to a young fan who missed the show because of the virus." sports.yahoo.com/david-ortiz-john-krasinski-surprise-boston-hospital-workers-with-free-red-sox-tickets-for-life-232725289.htmlUnless they are Yankee fans

Or they can appeal to their greedy side and sell them on E-bay. See? All good news...

I meant that a Yankee fan would not be in heaven watching all the Red Sox games I agree it is good news. That was my point.

I meant that a Yankee fan would not be in heaven watching all the Red Sox games I agree it is good news. That was my point. Owning the tickets doesn’t mean you must attend. In fact, if their prime seats (doubting that), you deny a Red Sox fan the privilege of sitting there. If I had prime seats behind the plate, I’d tune in just to make sure no one was in them. If I saw anyone in them, I’d call the stadium and demand they move them.

Great thinking, Russ! We replace “Sweet Caroline” with Strauss II, “Voices of Spring”...
