I asked Tequila to comply a list of EVENTS that could negatively impact the markets...
Here is her list (not in priority order)
1.Lack of Another Stimulus by year end 2. Increase in more Unemployed & Homeless (see #1) 3 Increase of Foreclosure and Renters Evicted (see #1) 4. Increase in Virus Infections/Deaths 5. More Biz going out of business (see #1 & #4) 6. Continued Transition Problems 7. A crazy Donald act = like nuking Iran, etc. 8. The Govt. shuts down because Congress cannot agree on a budget by Dec 11th 9. Negative economic Data 10. Surge in Commercial R/E Losses/Forecloses
11. Any Militia Violent Act/Uprising by Militia's Donald followers to protest the election. 12. Donald refuses to leave office.
13. Any one of the above or a combination them.

I kick myself every day not buying NIO when it was hovering around 2 fitty (now 20x that since Dec 2019), but if we always picked winners then we'd all be rich. Take a look at CLNE. I read Tudor put a big investment in it last week... and it is nearing it's 52 week high. Much like FCEL did last week before busting through an additional 2 bucks on that 52 week high. So people don't think I'm great at this... I am so far eating AAL at about 4 bucks a share and I gambled and lost on Chesapeake Energy last year. But... overall I am more right than wrong. |

Okay, so I know the financial markets aren’t worried–today–about the real economy.
But the real economy will count someday and need to be figured into stock prices for things like banks (and who knows what else.).
And right now we’re getting disturbing signs from the debt markets. Again.
The delinquency rate for mortgage securities backed by retail real estate was 14.3% in October, up from 4.6% in October 2019. Delinquencies for mortgage securities backed by lodging properties were 19.4%, up from 1.5% in October 2019.
One reason to watch this part of the debt market very carefully is that, you’ll remember from the sub-prime mortgage crisis, it’s very hard to tell who in the financial world owns these mortgage-backed securities.
They’re bundled up and sold off to? Well,, somebody owns them. For the sake of the stability of the financial system as a whole, we just have to hope that nobody with shaking capitalization went whole hog into the sector.
Tax-loss selling is not as easy as it looks.
