Please contribute to the List of things to do while shelter in place.
DO ME'S THINGS TO DO WHILE ‘SHELTER IN PLACE’:
--Read Do Me’s Postings & Links = Will take up at least 2-hours per day.
--Read Stephen King’s ‘The Stand’ = Will take Days
--Read the Rest of Stephen King’s Books = Will take weeks/months
--For fun, do mushrooms while reading ‘The Stand’
--Start a yard/balcony garden = Might need it if food shortages
--Learn how to make Zombie Kill Spears = In case Virus mutates.
--Smoke some good weed; than watch a Cooking Show and try to duplicate everything on show.
--Reward yourself (3 x day) = Masturbation
--Watch Yoga Videos and try to duplicate moves
--Call ALL your old girlfriends and say, “Since we may all die; let’s do Phone Sex”
--Call/Email all your friends you lost contact with, to say goodbye (if female; ask for phone sex).
--Take your Dog/Cat for long walks = Wear Masks
--Fortified your Apt./House against intruders should this go South.
--Spend hours on Travel/Airline Sites to get the Best/Cheapest Flight Deals fully refundable within 6-12 months. Airlines are selling Future Tickets super cheap for they need CASH now.
--Watch Fox News (two words never to be used together) on Mushrooms = The Half Truths, Partial Facts and Lies will make you laugh so hard you might just… --Learn to Sew & start making masks = Could be a good side Biz.
--Watch ‘Below the Mouth’ & ‘Wild Things’ for help in Rewarding yourself.
SERIOUSLY:
--Order and pay for 100 Pizzas for Nurses, Doctors, Paramedics, other Medical Personnel at your local hospital.

Get out of the house, but head for places so deep into nature that no one can find you. You should do this for as long as we are allowed. If you like to fish, 🎣. You might catch some food. Maybe something will kill and eat you, but at least your death will be helpful to nature. It beats the hell out of rotting away in you’re house...

Read Christopher Hitchens, but go forth with many questions still in your mind.Remember, he was likely stupefied with liquor most of the time while writing. DOME already suggested we play a solitaire game three times a day, but I think you were taking us in a different direction than he was. I’ll suggest again that you should start a religious thread. A lady I know told me that since her husband has bladder cancer, she joined a support group on line. She and a few other ladies started talking about praying, and giving each other hope by commenting about God. The group leader admonished them and finally removed them from the group because they desired to keep the information scientific and medical. I felt bad for her. I don’t like to see people castigates for their beliefs, but I did suggest she start her own forum that will allow religious commentary and prayer. I don’t like that she was booted from a community because of prejudice. Our forefathers wanted us to have freedom of religion, not exclusion of religion. I never mind when people around me express their belief. I will even hold hands in a prayer circle with them and say amen, for them at the end. At the same time I make no pretenses and will always let them know that I am acting only as a conduit for their thoughts and am not dependent on prayer to solve my problems. Strangely, I have seen more evidence of prayer not working (the ill person still dies, the religious soldier not returning from his mission while the non-religious soldier returns unscathed, etc). Anyway, if religion is to be discussed openly on any thread we wish, I will feel compelled to interject my thoughts as well in the name of religious freedom. If not, let us move it to it’s own thread, so that if there is to be blood spilled there it will only be because someone went to the place opened up to it. The subject of this thread is “Things to do while sheltered in place”. Reading is a wonderful suggestion. I would have left the Bible out of my suggestion. Read. That says it well. Let the reader choose his material for this venue. If that is the Bible, the Koran, or Sad Sack comic books from the 1960’s so be it... |

Sierchio has read the First Three Chapters already - get his thoughts.
If so, I will post one chapter at a time, when you say you all want to read.
Sierchio= ALSO got some good videos to help past the time = What The Chinese And Mexicans are doing...including Do Me.

I don't know why bringing up religion is any different than anything else. Why is stating one set of things to do ok, but another set should be on a thread restricted to that? I don't agree religious things should not be on a thread anymore than any other view people have. |

So you would allow the political posts to be spread throughout this forum? Stop and think. This is a forum based on the baseball, and in particular the New York Yankees. Certainly religion, like political views has a place for discussion. It’d also a large enough topic to have it’s own forum...

DO ME TALES is def. entertaining!! I'm sure everyone here would love to read it. Get some insight's into the world of Do Me Post it! I was told in person by author Leggs McNeil that a good story is one thing, but to make it intriguing enough to sell, it needs a good murder, sex, and drugs. Two of three is absolutely necessary. All three is best... |
