The Yankees also drafted him in 2018, so they really like him.
I don't know much about, where's Patrick when you need him?

Over 7000 posts, lost in the ether... Methinks about Russ, and his proclaimed 746,000 posts if you include the forum “posting BC”, where he used to post on a cave wall using a chisel..,

This may seem an offball question but does anyone know how the time between draft picks work? I know they are given 5 minutes per pick but when I time it, sometimes it's more. When I'm seconds off it's immaterial but there are times I'm more than a minute off. Do they give the next pick extra time for tv purposes and commercials?

Sorry hawaii, I'm not sure of the answer to your question. Good to see you around though! Post more often! Even though there is no baseball at the moment, lol.

We don’t get a lot of commentary on this site about these youngsters and draft picks, at least not like Patrick did. Good to hear from someone like you that was always into subjects like this. Wish I knew the answer...

Wish I knew the answer... I have some kind of OCD on this kind of stuff. When I see the screen flash "The pick is in" I start my timer for the next pick. For some reason it's really off. I do it for the NFL draft as well and same thing. It's puzzling. I've always wondered how they time the picks. I've always wanted to email the league offices but too lazy. I doubt they have emails I could contact them anyways for something stupid like this.

TV controls the draft, so even though the pick is already in, sometimes there is a delay until the talking heads are ready. Still, I thought the first round last night went pretty smooth. It was nice to watch some live sports television for a change.
