Not as bad as his stats indicated I thought. He had trouble putting batters away. Just about all the hits against him were with 2 strikes. If not for some good baserunning by McCutchen and Realmuto he would have escaped with only giving up the 3 run blast. I was impressed with how the Phillies have run the bases in this series, especially someone like Realmuto. He beat out a throw on an infield single I thought he had no chance on that would have been the third out of the inning. Next play was the two run double that was the difference in the game.

Am I the only one who thinks resting your hottest hitters in a sixty-game season is rather silly? Very silly.

I just watched the first inning and the home run to Realmuto, which was a hanging curveball that he threw following a change up at just about the same speed. I don’t like that pitch progression.

Torres only has hits in two games this season.... He hasn't look good at all at the plate early on. I think he'll break out soon enough though. Too much talent.

Am I the only one who thinks resting your hottest hitters in a sixty-game season is rather silly? No, not at all. Especially when they’ve not only hot, but they bat 1-2 in the lineup...

Heck, I don’t even get why we can’t let four starters do the job, or why we can’t use the relievers about 30-35 games... Get some of the subpar pitchers off the roster...

Rewatching, Realmuto made a perfect throw to get Gardner stealing second. His footwork is incredible.

Rewatching, Realmuto made a perfect throw to get Gardner stealing second. His footwork is incredible. I think he nailed 47% last year. In this day and age, that’s a high percentage. Players are encouraged to be sure they can make it. Only the best are allowed to run for the most part...

Ugh. That has to change. I cannot believe that Paxton will continue to be this bad and hopefully Montgomery will pitch more like he did in his first outing. Happ, well, he's fifth starter anyway so i'm not sure he has a lot to offer anyway.

Montgomery I have some faith in and he should be a serviceable number 3 type. Happ just sucks. Rather see Schmidt in his role.

It’s those four openers that Cole has been working with that are the problem...
