Paxton somehow raking up the strikeouts with the fastball even with the diminished velocity. One thing I've noticed about the Rays is that they take a lot of pitches, a lot of strikes. Maybe they should swing more often. |

Maybe they should swing more often. Looks like the philosophy is to look for a certain pitch or area. If they don’t get that pitch or area, let it go by. |

If they don’t get that pitch or area, let it go by. And it worked yesterday, mostly because the umpire called a lot of pitches in the zone balls. |
