Paxton somehow raking up the strikeouts with the fastball even with the diminished velocity. One thing I've noticed about the Rays is that they take a lot of pitches, a lot of strikes. Maybe they should swing more often.

Paxton somehow raking up the strikeouts with the fastball even with the diminished velocity. One think I've noticed about the Rays is that they take a lot of pitches, a lot of strikes. Maybe they should swing more often. Looks like the philosophy is to look for a certain pitch or area. If they don’t get that pitch or area, let it go by.

If they don’t get that pitch or area, let it go by. And it worked yesterday, mostly because the umpire called a lot of pitches in the zone balls.
