Tough loss. Should have been happy with six strong for Paxton. I can understand him coming out for the seventh, but the leash should have been short. One baserunner was enough for me. He had dropped to 91 MPH, too.

Having two DH's in four days didn't help but that's 2020 Corona Ball. The pen was a little gassed and Boone pushed Paxton too far. |

Fell asleep and missed the end. Boone left Paxon in too long for sure. Tough loss against our divisional foes.

Meanwhile, I’ll just let you know that only the Dodgers have scored more runs so far in 2020, and that is by 2 runs. Damn, really would have been nice to win this game and put some separation between us and the Rays. No game tomorrow which sucks because I'll still be thinking about this one. Oh, well. Got to put it behind us and move on.

Yankees were 0-8 with runners in scoring position today. That and the 1-0 loss in Tanaka’s wonderful start, and the bats were the problem in this series. Rays have a solid bullpen from what I have seen. I especially like all the different looks they can give a team. Lots of diversity with arm angles, velocity, and movement. Roe is especially nasty with that two foot slider.
Some good news for the Yankees is Torres and Sanchez looked much better at the plate the last two games. They are close to breaking out of their doldrums.
