The Ken Burns Baseball documentary covered it, the entire series is well worth watching, if you have 20+ hours to spare. Another classic from Ken Burns. I loved it! The old video footage of the players with the accompanying music from the times is great.

hale blows his chance at a triple play by getting a strike out. There was a pitcher in the 30's who told his entire outfield to sit in the dugout which they did. He then struck out the side. Never would allow that these days. Too serious. That was Eddie Feigner, the soft ball pitcher, not a MLB pitcher. He did it often, actually. Feigner pitched for years under the banner “ The King and His Court”. So no. “They” didnt allow that back then, either... strange the article I read said it was in the majors. Maybe not.

The Yankees need to clean up the defense, it's been shaky most of the season.

A lot of pitchers to get through two innings since Monty was pulled.

I don't remember this but it must have been fun
The Yankees set the most impossible record of the year twice. They hit three sacrifice flies in an inning in two different games. Detroit's Bobby Higginson made the first one possible by dropping a fly ball. Anaheim's Ron Gant guided them through the second one by dropping one fly ball on Aug. 19, then catching another one but forgetting the outs, to let Jorge Posada score from second.

Given that Atlanta outhit us I guess we should be happy to be ahead. Assuming we stay there.

A lot of pitchers to get through two innings since Monty was pulled. Hale and Cessa showed why they have trouble sticking in the majors, especially Hale.

I still remember his only career triple lol

Gleyber and Sanchez are a mess right now, in the field and at the plate. It would be nice to see them turn this around.
