Mike (.176) Ford is batting third. Inger hasn’t used his Magic 8-Ball yet. It may be the right placement. LOL. Inger loves Ford for some reason. I mean he's a serviceable backup 1st baseman. But I wouldn't bat him third ever.

What logic would lead someone with major league experience to bat someone batting .176 third in a key game.

What logic would lead someone with major league experience to bat someone batting .176 third in a key game. Once again you’ve proven that after about 83 years working with statistics you still don’t understand the concept of small sample size. Ford is ready to begin an offensive rampage, the likes of which you have seldom seen. Mike “King Kong” Ford is ready to snap the chains that have been binding him..,

Admittedly, it’s not easy trying to think like Aaron Boone. After his one big hit, Boone may put him at cleanup. Mike (.176) Ford is batting third. If you got four or five guys in a line-up hitting sub-.200, you gotta bat them somewhere.

Since I have never seen him on an offensive rampage you are probably right.

The other day it was the Ford Barrage, now the Ford Rampage. I think Ford is overmatched at the ML level, but I do hope he runs into a long ball today.

Watch out for Choi, Cole. He has great numbers against you for some reason.

From two outs no one on, to down 2-0 is pretty demoralizing, especially with way this offense is struggling.
