We can’t get over-excited about Kyle, guys. He still hasn’t taken a base on balls since 8/30/2018. Just a few days ago he was batting in the .170’s with a lower OBP than Sanchez. This was a great single day feat, nothing more, nothing less.
Kay! Do you recall the day last year where I called it in pregame that he was gonna hit two out that day, and he did? I didn’t call this one, darn it...

I didn’t call this one, darn it... Sanchez is hitting.134 and hasn't had a multi-hit game all season. That alone should get Higgy an extended look.

Tim Anderson and DJ LeMahieu are both batting .373 after their respective games tonight. I was figuring out their batting averages to the 16th significant digit while you were posting this.

In the circumstance of the MLB batting leadership and the subsequent award of the batting title, MLB will run the numbers out as far as necessary to determine the winner of such title. In mathematical terms this is sometimes expressed as “so bite me”...
