It's a matchup of 6+ ERA pitchers a Yankee win or Blue jays loss locks the fifth seed and a trip to either Minnesota Cleveland or Chicago. All games are at 3pm or so. The Orioles might have a chance actually:

Twins are 3 with a win White Sox are 3 with a win and twins loss Indians are 4 with a win and white Sox loss Twins cannot be lower than 4 Indians cannot be 3 but can be 4 or 7 White Sox can be any of the three spots.

The Yankees have put themselves in the position that they have to pay attention to what the Blue Jays are doing. To quote the great Joe Girardi "It's not what you want!"
Stanton had a line drive double and a key walk yesterday, so I would have run him right back out there to build on that.

Stanton had a line drive double and a key walk yesterday, so I would have run him right back out there to build on that. All they had to do was win one additional game in the last week. Having said that their chances today are still good with most regulars playing but still annoying.

Still happy I didn’t pay anything to watch this cluster of a season. The 16-9 start and the ten game win streak were fun, but the rest of the season was a horrible mess of a baseball exhibition.
It’s hard to really say if changes need to be made off a shortened, injury racked year, but the A Team performance was really disappointing the little bit of time they spent together, and as poor as Sanchez played I’m nearly as disappointed with Torres as the SS.
I’m expecting today to be the final day of Brett Gardner’s regular season career with the team. His choice or the teams’ we’ll find out later. All good things come to an end. I’ve enjoyed his odd career. I thought he’d be a .280 hitter, legging out hits and stealing 500+ bases, getting 2,000 plus career hits. His base stealing was curtailed for some reason, and like most of baseball he transitioned his style into a power game...

7 pitches in the first inning. Nice.

Different results for Schmidt early on when he starts instead of coming into a game in relief.

lol @ Buckner at those two strike calls to Hicks.
The Yankees should have the bases loaded an no one out.

One thing you have to give the Yankees this year is in wins they tend to tack on runs last year they had a problem where they would score in the first or second inning and never again they seemed to have fixed that this year mostly. However when they lose they seem to barely score.
