Fairbanks reminds me of Betances. Wipe out curve and 97-100 mph fastball. Fairbanks has a bit of a short arm delivery, which makes him quicker to the plate than Betances was. Three saves in the series. That Bullpen is just phenomenal.

Imagine Mike King being allowed to pitch in that kind of situation?...Or Jon Loaisiga? ... They also don't have set roles for their relievers, one for the 9th and one guy for the 8th and so on. They relievers are interchangeable so none of them have a problem closing a game out.

The closer is certainly a simple-minded concept. I believe it to be as important to squelch a mid game rally as to prevent three unexpected runs to score in the bottom of the ninth...

BRILLIANT, but so Simple & Basic: They also don't have set roles for their relievers, one for the 9th and one guy for the 8th and so on. ...Offensively, the Rays have been led by Arozarena. They won't overpower you with the bats, but they have a lineup that will make pitchers earn 27 outs. Most importantly, they won't beat themselves with unproductive outs or costly mistakes in the field. (Something we need to work on!!!)

The Rays took them out in the postseason as well, which was particularly galling with a payroll that (for a full season) floated around $265M. The Rays, by contrast, fielded a payroll of around $73M.

The concept that there is a different game being played in the post season is always out there, and it’s silly. The game is the game. Just play it well and you win...

Hello Yankee fans as you know we are in the World Series and once again The Yankees are not. How can this be? The mighty Yankees have a payroll that was 109 million dollars and Tampa’s was only 28 million dollars. How can we compete with the paper tiger Yankees? This goes to prove once again throwing money at something does not work. What works is having a great organization from top to bottom like we have. The Yankees led by Brian Cashman have proven over the many years that they do not have an MLB organization. Since the Yankee have last been in a World Series Brian Cashman has thrown away 2,409,000.00. Not only are the New York Sporting teams a bunch of losers. The State of New York and New York City are such a mess. They cannot find enough moving vans to get people out of NY and to Florida. Why do not the many extremely disappoint Yankee fans join the rest of New Yorker's and join a winner (Florida and Tampa) for a change. The only request we have is that you leave your losing ways in New York and try not to ruin our state of teams.
