Hello Yankee fans as you know we are in the World Series and once again The Yankees are not. How can this be? The mighty Yankees have a payroll that was 109 million dollars and Tampa’s was only 28 million dollars. How can we compete with the paper tiger Yankees? This goes to prove once again throwing money at something does not work. What works is having a great organization from top to bottom like we have. The Yankees led by Brian Cashman have proven over the many years that they do not have an MLB organization. Since the Yankee have last been in a World Series Brian Cashman has thrown away 2,409,000.00. Not only are the New York Sporting teams a bunch of losers. The State of New York and New York City are such a mess. They cannot find enough moving vans to get people out of NY and to Florida. Why do not the many extremely disappoint Yankee fans join the rest of New Yorker's and join a winner (Florida and Tampa) for a change. The only request we have is that you leave your losing ways in New York and try not to ruin our state of teams. Last time we all replied to you nicely, but now you can just suck it... LOL, we should be honored inger to have such a rare specimen, an actual Rays fan, posting on our board. There are only a handful in existence!

There are only a handful in existence! I would be, but it was quite apparent he read none of the replies last time. Even a troll would read replies to get his jollies. This is worthless piece of crap...

He must have a major inferiority complex with the 27-0 deficit in championships, the laughably low payroll, and the dump of a stadium.

Anothyd46 You may be right, but history has that the Yankees certainly would not be. Let us deal with the here and now. We will once again be facing another big spending team. Unlike the Yankees they have a much better baseball organization. I do like it when they call them the two best teams this year. www.espn.com/mlb/

The Yankees have had 28 consecutive winning seasons, a streak no team comes close to matching. The Dodgers haven't won the World Series since 1988, the Yankees have won 5 since then. The Dodgers do great job developing minor league talent, better than the Yankees, but they have a long way to go to match the success of this Yankee organiztion.

Well i was hoping the Braves would go to the WS = giving me two teams that I bet on.
Now I just got TB at 22-1 for $500.00 (my original bet at beginning of short season).
Would love for them to WIN -- But I think this is the Dodgers YEAR (as I have stated before)

The object is to get to the World Series. The mighty Yankees since the last time they were in the world Series have thrown away over 2 billion dollars. What has the wizard Brian Cashman gotten for that. Zero. He has wasted 2 billion dollars. Win or lose Tampa is in the World Series and once again the Yankees with the largest payroll are sitting home. It will not be easy for Tampa. They are going against another team with a large payroll. Unlike the Yankees they have been in three of the last four Series. They have one of the best organizations in baseball. They spend their money wisely.

I am a DIE-HARD Yankee Fan; but what you say ('raysfan') is correct = WE have totally wasted over 2 BILLION $$$ -- Hard as it is, one must admit to the Truth & Facts.
How the Tampa Bay Rays constructed a pennant-winner on a limited budget

It’ll be interesting to see what happens when the bill comes due to start paying these young men in a few years...Although we saw one example in the trade of Tommy Pham. It’ll be quite a chess game to keep the team on contention...

I don’t believe it’s ever going to produce anything anywhere near to a Mariano Rivera. Burned out before they reach their free agent seasons...
