“MLB Network unveiled a statistic on Friday showing the hitters with the highest rate of hard-hit balls (as deemed by Statcast) per at-bat last season. The top five is quite a list: 1) Fernando Tatis - 22.1 percent. 2) Corey Seager - 22 percent. 3) D.J. LeMahieu - 21.9 percent. 4) Juan Soto - 21.8 percent. 5 )Mike Trout – 21.6 percent.“ That's a great stat, still some in baseball will tell you D.J.'s success is due to playing at Yankee Stadium.  The only “help” that DJ gets from Yankee Stadium is maybe a couple of extra balls that leave the park in RCF that would have been doubles somewhere else... |

BR is projecting DJ to hit .290, 20 HR 77 RBI IN 2020... D.J. RBI's are low because he's a leadoff hitter. If Hicks can stay healthy and put up his usual .360 OBP, would any of you want him leading off, with D.J moving to the 2 slot and Judge hitting 3rd, Stanton 4th, Voit 5th and so on? I'm trying to get D.J. more RBI chances. |
