Yes, D.J's back!
Now, we still need at least one starting pitcher.

Wow. Strange. Only at 15 million a year though.

Wow. Strange. Only at 15 million a year though. Good deal for both. Having it at six years saves money to go out and get a pitcher. DJ gets 90 million and plays where he really wanted to be.

Told ya’ he’d leave... 😂
Now, let’s go build the rest of this team!
The one player I would love to see do well this year is HEALTH! ...

Variety of structures. Dang, I’d love to have a deal that had so much money in it that it had to be structured. Mine were always like, one week (primarily just today) no guaranteed money, subject to be DFA at any moment for any reason...

Wow. Strange. Only at 15 million a year though. WOW is right--He could have easily got 5 years at either $20 Million OR $22 Million and MIGHT have gotten 4 years at $25 million.
HE BLEW IT--For any good INVESTOR knows that Today's $$$ are WORTH more than Tomorrow's $$$.
So instead of having him until 36-years old ---We will have the Retread (sorry, him) until he is 38-Years Old.
Now mind I like DJ BUT only for 4-years.
He should fire his Agent & Hire Do Me.

Wow. Strange. Only at 15 million a year though. I have a feeling the Yankees are going to spend about 20 million more on the roster and that’s it. Unless Bauer agrees to that per year (not likely), the Yankees will sign a name the casual fan will know (Kluber perhaps), which will end up a throw away due to injury or mediocrity (Happ-like effectiveness). LeMahieu, Bauer, Tanaka, and a top set up reliever (replacement for Kahnle) should have been the priorities. If you are going to lead the league in payroll, do it with the expectation as the odds on favorite to win the World Series.

No other team was paying him 20 million with the splits he has.

No other team was paying him 20 million with the splits he has. The highest rumored offer I saw was the Blue Jays 78 million for 4 years, so I don't know where this 25 million per season talk is coming from. The bottom line is that D.J. is where he wants to be, is making a lot of money for the next 6 years and is with a team that really wanted him back. It's a win/win.
