Yankees get defanged by the Phillies, Stanton shows up, and The Cajun Chef gets hurt. Not a great game to finally be televised, but some baseball is better than none. Yup! You said it.

The roster spots are going to be interesting. There's a good chance Wade won't make the team out of spring training and now with Wilson's injury, the bullpen needs some additional thought.

It won't take long to know what's going on with Wilson.

Luetge just told himself he made the roster, then felt a pang of guilt, which will disappear once he receives his first check. If not before... đ Baseball is about opportunity. When your chance comes, are you playing well? Then go get it! ... 2021 prediction: Lucas Luetke surprise Cy Young winner in AL with 21-0 record out of bullpen... 6 saves, 48 holds. Blew nothing... No earned or unearned runs since the 2 he allowed in Spring Training...

Justin Wilson called for trainers. He's hurt. Doesn't sound good, if he goes on the IL, it does open up a spot for someone else. These posts remind me of when Dances With Wolves (Dunbar) first finds Stands With A Fist and returns her to the tribe. âHurt. Sheâs hurtâ. The Indians thinking âWhat the hell does that mean? Bleed from down belowâ? Is that what white man call it? The hurt?

I miss the gap. Letâs hope it didnât steal his power...Sampson had his hair, Judge had the gap... Aaron, come here, quick! Itâs the bottom of the ninth, weâre down by three. Bases are loaded. Thereâs no better time than this for you to have a Tic-Tac. Take a white one. Now get up there and bust oneâ! ...

Maybe they should have waited until next spring?  Sterling isnât exactly a spring chicken... Heâs not even a cordon bleu... (Little tough ham in the middle)...

Missed the game but read Kluber's control was shaky though he didn't give up any earned runs.

FWIW, I'd take Tauchman over Bruce at this point. After today Tauchman has the better line in Spring Training (Tauchman .269/.345/.615, Bruce .207/.258/.448) but that shouldn't even matter. I don't think the injury prone, older Bruce is all that special besides the HR pop (.217/.282/.448 since 2018). He'd also take up more money that could be used towards a reliever as we are very close to the CBT. I'm not a huge Tauchman fan but at least he's younger, has potential, and is an all around player.

Gittens hit a monster home run, today. It looked like it left the entire park.

Gittens hit a monster home run, today. It looked like it left the entire park. That's Gittens for you. He definitely doesn't lack power.

I like Gittens, but the over/under for his potential future MLB at bats is probably at about 130. He reminds me of some guys that got more at bats than him though. Tony Solaita would be one. Kevin Maas. It seems there should be 3-4 other guys coming to mind, but Iâm blocking them...
The kind of guys that flash monster power, but they tend to be slow, no secondary skills, and show nothing else to offer a team...sort of like 2020 Gary Sanchez...
Clifford Johnson comes close, but added the value of catching, which made me admire him for being smart enough to know that catching would make him a lot more valuable than his other skills. He was a favorite of mine in his time with NY.
Ron Kittle...
Dave Kingman...
Iâm thinking there are some missing that wound up with scant MLB time... more like Solaita.
Willie Mays Aiken... really, really slow...
