The rubber match today, and it’s all about winning series after series. German Potato Salad takes the mound against the always intriguing, Notorious TBD. Lineups, of course, not yet posted. Rizzuto’s fearless and baseless prediction: Boone cannot help himself and will give at least one starter a day off today, after playing two games in three days.

Zeuch as the Toronto starter. I agree with your prediction. Someone will get a rest day. It better not be Judge.

Gleyber hitting clean-up, while Stanton gets the day off and Gardy is tabbed for the start in left, Frazier moves to right and up to seventh in the batting order. Why does Hicks warrant batting third? Evidently, because he has the ability to strikeout bat from either the left or right side.

Let's see if he can pull off as Renfield put it, the hat trick of hat tricks (striking out 3 times in three games in a row).

If was Stanton, I'd get angry and demand to be in the lineup. I'm sure he's aware of all the snide comments the past couple of years on social media about his inability to stay in the lineup and now that's he's healthy, he's benched after two games at DH during a three day span. I's embarrassing for Stanton.

But, he’s probably better than Ellsbury, Melky, Mumphrey, and Omar Moreno. Melky had some clutch hits, though. Not much power, but he put the ball in play. Melky had a hose, too. I think he led the league in outfield assists one year with the Yankees. Does anyone recall the first batter to face Masahiro Tanaka in his MLB debut? It was Melky Cabrera, who greeted Tanaka with a lead-off home run.

Two games in at least. Nice list by the way! You have a comprehensive knowledge of the Yanks for sure.
