Not sure what this deal accomplishes other than add a left-handed bat. Looking at his stats, he seems like a 2d baseman Aaron Hicks. One of those already too many. At least Hicks walks, Order is just another lousy hitter that will hit an occasional HR.

At his best a few seasons back, Odor was a .270 hitter that could crack 30+ HR. It appears with his recent low BA seasons, Texas was no longer interested in seeing if he could make a comeback. I think he may be flipped in the near future, but can also give us a back up plan in the event of an infield injury in the interim. I don’t see him as a threat to make the immediate Yankee infield...Perhaps he could help us if we had trouble filling the DH slot for a while...

In addition to losing a couple little-known minor league players to acquire Odor, the Yanks had to DFA Thairo Estrada. I doubt he was going to ever get much meaningful time with the Yankees. He’s a decent little player that deserves a shot with another team to see if he may ever become a full-time utility player with a lesser roster. Best of luck to him...

I actually figured Odor to be one of those players that was washed up young. The league had caught up to his over-swinging ways. Maybe that’s still the way it is. Maybe he’s just lightning in a bottle right now. But, I’ll take a little lightning... Let’s see where this goes...
