Too many players playing out of position. I agree. We lose our one backup defender at shortstop and at every other position except pitcher and catcher. Also, we lose the fastest guy on the team, who can steal a base and score from second, even on a moderate single to a strong armed right fielder, which we saw last series with Santander. At least Dietrich was a lefty with pop who could play second, third, first, and the outfield. Odor is really just a second baseman. |
