Urshela has four hits in the game. Hicks has four hits in the season. Time to reconfigure the lineup. If Hicks is going to start, bat 9th as a wrap around leadoff hitter. His walks will have more value that way. |

His walks will have more value that way. . I believe Hicks will start hitting soon. He runs hot and cold like most hitters... But I still prefer him in the 9 hole as the “wrapper”. That life time average is now based on enough experience that we needn’t think too much of “potential”...He’ll go in a tear until his average approaches .250. Then nature will take its course and he’ll drop to .220. Then he’ll sneak back up to .245, then back down to .225. Like a see-saw, until he settles where he belongs. We’ve seen this act before. I’d just as soon we don’t see the injuries from him this year. If we do, that’s his expectation as well...We’ll just be glad Gardner and Tauchman are still here, because no one on the farm is CF-ready... |
