Johnny Mize lost three full years to WWII. He had double digit home runs in 14 big league seasons, led the league 4 times, and had a total of 369. He hit over 50 homers once, over 40 or more twice, 22 to 28 six times, 19 twice, 18 once. Interestingly, never in the 30s. So I say, let’s give him 30 per season for each of those WW2 seasons. 459. Those were obviously his 30 HR seasons... 😎 |
