He did hit them a long way. The guy was a bull. Like most gifted players, he didn’t need it. Neither did Bonds, Sosa, McGuire, Palmeiro, Manny Ramirez, Clemens, ARod, Cano, etc. They cheated themselves and the game and those sacred numbers that every boy shuffling through baseball cards knew by heart. That's the shame of it. Although I am not totally sold on Sosa, we'll never know. Brady Anderson, on the other hand, definitely needed it. |

In what universe should that be credited as a base hit? Torres has been gifted with these calls several times already this year...
