Anthony Hall, OF -- Hudson Valley (High-A) 29. Danny Watson, RHP -- Somerset (Double-A) 30. Justin Lange, RHP -- Hudson Valley (High-A) -- injured list (shoulder) Team to watch Of the Yankees' 18 Top 30 prospects on active Minor League rosters to begin season, eight of them are at Double-A Somerset. The biggest name on the Patriots is outfielder Spencer Jones, who totaled 16 homers and 43 steals in his first full pro season and went deep twice in a Spring Breakout rout of the Blue Jays. Left-hander Brock Selvidge also stood out in the Spring Breakout event, striking out eight in four scoreless innings. Catcher/first baseman Ben Rice slashed .324/.434/.615 with 20 homers in 73 games between three levels last year. Players we could see in MLB in 2024 Outfielder Jasson Domínguez homered four times in eight games with the Yankees in September before blowing out his elbow and requiring Tommy John surgery, and he should make it back to the Majors at some point this season. Jones could power his way to New York and another outfielder, Everson Pereira, could return after making 26 big league starts down the stretch in 2023. Right-hander Will Warren is the system's best healthy pitching prospect and just one step away in Triple-A. New faces A pair of 2023 draftees, left-hander Kyle Carr (third round) and right-hander Cade Smith (sixth), will make their pro debuts in April. A Palomar (Calif.) Junior College product, Carr was the best juco prospect in last year's Draft. Righty Trystan Vrieling, a 2022 third-rounder, finally will make his official debut after missing last season with a stress fracture in his pitching elbow. Francisco Vilorio has classic right-field power and arm strength and is ticketed for the Rookie-level Dominican Summer League after signing for $1.75 million out of the Dominican Republic. Though he's sidelined indefinitely, the Yankees acquired contact-hitting infielder Jorbit Vivas in a December trade for shortstop prospect Trey Sweeney. On the shelf Dominguez and fellow Top 100 prospect Chase Hampton (shoulder discomfort) began the season on the sidelines, and the hope is that Hampton will be ready to join Somerset in May. Vivas sustained an orbital fracture during pregame work in late March. Third baseman Tyler Hardman had Tommy John surgery in October and should return to the field this summer. Right-hander Justin Lange is on High-A Hudson Valley's 60-day injured list with a shoulder injury.

New York Yankees pitcherlist.com/al-east-farm-system-report-for-dynasty-baseball/Top 10 Prospects Rank Player Position Level Previous Rank 1 Jasson Dominguez OF MLB 1 2 Spencer Jones OF AA 2 3 Roderick Arias SS ROOKIE 3 4 Chase Hampton P AA 4 5 Ben Rice C AA 5 6 Everson Pereira OF MLB 6 7 George Lombard Jr. SS AA 7 8 Will Warren P AAA 8 9 Austin Wells C MLB 9 10 Enmanuel Tejeda 3B ROOKIE 10 Prospects I’m Most Excited About: Perhaps no player made a bigger splash this Spring Training than 6’6″ Yankees prospect Spencer Jones. The former Vanderbilt Commodore slashed .444/.565/.722 with more walks than strikeouts and an impressive display of power. Jones won’t be on the Opening Day roster, but if he continues to show off his blend of power and speed in the Minors, the Yankees will need to make room for Jones quickly. 6’7″-210 lbs. That’s the frame for Yankees’ farmhand Henry Lalane. Lalane is a guy I’m in on, and I’ve projected as a top-10 pitching prospect at this time next season. He offers a three-pitch mix headlined by an upper-90s fastball and fading changeup. In 21 2/3 innings last season at Rookie ball, Lalane had a 34:4 K:BB ratio and held hitters to a .207 average against. The physical tools are there for Lalane, but how will he fare in full-season ball? I love second baseman Keiner Delgado despite his Altuve-like frame. At 5’7-145 lbs., Delgado is built like an eighth grader but hits like a professional. He has the contact skills and hit tool of a future batting champion and is highly impactful on the base paths. Over two seasons in the Minors, Delgado has batted .301 with 70 steals and 35 more walks than strikeouts (94:59). A Few Other Names to Know I hope you were able to indulge in the Spring Breakout series. If you were, then the inclusion of Brock Selvidge on this list is no surprise. The 21-year-old southpaw carved up the Blue Jays’ top prospects over four innings, striking out eight hitters and issuing one hit. Selvidge offers two plus offspeed pitches (both are sliders) and a new gyro changeup. While he’s had decent success in the Minors, Selvidge has yet to put it all together, but could this outing signal that a breakout is imminent? The Yankees acquired Jorbit Vivas from the Dodgers this offseason, and the sweet-swinging second baseman is looking to push his way to the Majors. Vivas has a track record of hitting at every level with advanced plate discipline and impressive bat-to-ball skills. While he has middling power and speed, Vivas did produce 13 homers and 25 steals last season, split between Double and Triple-A.

Tanner Tully went unclaimed on waivers and has been assigned outright to the Yankees’ Triple-A affiliate, per the team’s transaction log at MLB.com. Because he’s been previously outrighted, Tully has the right to reject the assignment in favor of free agency. However, he intends to remain with the Yankees, MLBTR has learned.

From MLB.com Yankee Prospects to watch at every level. 4/4/24
Hal Steinbrenner frequently speaks about observing his organization from a vantage point of 30,000 feet, a partial nod to his licensed training as a pilot.
That also applies to his regular perch atop a watchtower at the Yankees’ Minor League complex, where the club’s managing general partner has become deeply familiar with the prospects who occupy the 4 practice fields at ground level.
When Steinbrenner agreed to move 8 players in trades for Juan Soto and Alex Verdugo, he acknowledged that was a steep price to pay the Padres and Red Sox, respectively. Steinbrenner believed those moves would improve the Yankees’ big league roster. Just as important, he knew more talent was on the way.
• Where the Yankees' Top 30 prospects are starting the season
“Everybody seemed to want guys like [No. 8 prospect Will] Warren and [No. 4 prospect Chase] Hampton, and I just wasn’t willing to part with them,” Steinbrenner said recently. “I’m going to be very hesitant to give up the kind of guys like Warren, Hampton and [No. 2 prospect] Spencer Jones that have been asked about a lot.”
That gives the Yankees -- and their fans -- plenty of important players to monitor at the Minor League levels this season. AAA Scranton RailRiders
Player to watch: OF Everson Pereira (Yankees No. 6 prospect) Pereira figures to be a mainstay in the RailRiders’ outfield. He struggled in a brief taste of the big leagues last September, batting .151 (14-for-93), but the Yankees continue to believe in his talent and will be watching closely to see if he makes the necessary swing-decision adjustments to advance. Pereira was signed for $1.5 million out of Venezuela in 2017.
Pitcher to watch: Warren Warren opened eyes all spring, with Manager Aaron Boone saying he expects the right-hander to help at the big league level. The 24-year-old will be looking to build on a strong 2023 campaign in which he went a combined 10-4 with a 3.35 ERA in 27 games (25 starts) at the Double-A and Triple-A levels.
Other top prospects: RHP Clayton Beeter (No. 14), 2B/3B Jorbit Vivas (No. 16), RHP Yoendrys Gómez (No. 18)
Double-A Somerset Patriots Opening Day: Friday, 6:35 p.m. ET vs. Richmond
Player to watch: OF Jones (MLB No. 81 overall prospect) Jones won the James P. Dawson Award, indicative of the top rookie in Yankees Spring Training, after hitting .444 (8-for-18) in 13 games. The 22-year-old Jones appears poised to carry that performance over into his return to the Double-A level, where he played 17 games last season. Lauded as a left-handed version of Aaron Judge, Jones is on a fast track toward the Bronx, where he may appear as soon as this year.
Pitcher to watch: Brock Selvidge (Yankees No. 11 prospect) Selvidge impressed in the Spring Breakout game last month, striking out eight over four scoreless innings against a squad of Blue Jays top prospects. Selvidge is a 6-foot-3 left-hander whose best pitch is an 85 to 89 mph cutter that he picked up last year at Single-A Tampa, where he posted a 3.38 ERA in 15 games (14 starts). Selvidge -- who idolizes Andy Pettitte -- also features a 92 to 95 mph fastball, a low 80s slider and a low 80s changeup.
Other top prospects: Hampton (MLB No. 89), C/1B Ben Rice (Yankees No. 13), C Agustín Ramírez (No. 22), RHP Zach Messinger (No. 23), RHP Trystan Vrieling (No. 24), RHP Jack Neely (No. 26), 3B Tyler Hardman (No. 27), RHP Danny Watson (No. 29)
High-A Hudson Valley Renegades Opening Day: Friday, 7:35 p.m. ET at Bowling Green
Player to watch: 2B/SS Jared Serna (No. 20) Serna returns to the High-A level after finishing his 2023 season there. He was selected as a Single-A Florida State League postseason All-Star after batting .283/.350/.483 with 19 homers in 95 games at that level; in 27 games at High-A, he hit .287/.350/.389 but didn’t homer in 108 at-bats. The 5-foot-6 second baseman possesses raw power and impacts the ball well, adding plus speed and an aggressive mindset on the bases.
Pitcher to watch: LHP Kyle Carr (No. 12) Carr is set to make his pro debut this season after being selected in the third round of the 2023 MLB Draft. The 6-foot-1, 175-pound left-hander was the top junior college prospect in the Draft after going 12-1 with a 2.31 ERA for Palomar (Calif.) JC, where he struck out 111 batters against 19 walks in 78 innings. Carr features a 91 to 95 mph fastball, a solid low-80s sweeper and an upper-80s changeup.
Other top prospects: 2B Roc Riggio (No. 19), OF Anthony Hall (No. 28), RHP Justin Lange (No. 30)
Single-A Tampa Tarpons Opening Day: April 5, 7:05 p.m. ET at Fort Myers
Player to watch: SS George Lombard Jr. (No. 7) Lombard will score his first taste of full-season experience after impressing with several cameos during big league Spring Training, where he flashed a mature approach far beyond his 18 years. The Yanks’ first-round pick in the 2023 MLB Draft, Lombard carries a big-league pedigree -- his father, George Lombard, played outfield in the Majors and is the Tigers’ bench coach. Lombard already uses the whole field with plus raw power, and he’s expected to add muscle to his 6-foot-2, 190-pound frame.
Pitcher to watch: RHP Cade Smith (No. 25) Smith is set to make his pro debut after being selected in the sixth round of the 2023 MLB Draft. Smith was Mississippi State’s ace over the past two seasons, where he featured a quick arm and a relatively clean delivery. Smith’s best pitch is an 83 to 85 mph slider. The right-hander also throws a 92 to 94 mph fastball, a decent 78 to 82 mph curveball and a mid-80s changeup that scouts say will need work.
Other top prospects: SS Roderick Arias (MLB No. 83, Yankees No. 3)

Thanks for posting, chi. I like Durbin a lot. He can play 3b, 2b and even a little SS. He doesn't have a lot of power, but he can hit and has good speed. More walks (83) than K's (72) and has stolen 81 bases in 95 attempts. He really showcased himself with a .353/.456/.588 line in the AFL last season. He also stole 21 of 23 bases in 103 PA's.

Is Periera the new Florial? Yanks seem to always have a Florial and this season it's probably Periera. I would imagine he will go in a trade at some point.
