You do have to wonder if McCullers had another strike in him that inning... so if Ford takes, it’s 2-1... is the next pitch 2-2 or 3-1? I like that Ford got aggressive, but I might have taken that pitch no matter what...

I know he's still mid-career, but at this point McCullers has a worse ERA+ than his father. The old man was 117, junior is at 111.

Torres looking good on that play. The defensive metrics actually have him playing good defense so far. If he could just stop the lackadaisical throws, he would be okay out there. |

Just an aside, but way too many presumably adult women doing ad voiceovers sound like they are in middle school. Why is this considered good marketing? So irritating. Mini-rant over.

On Extra Innings they keep showing ads for GoDaddy and the father/son erectile dysfunction business. Plus Gary Sanchez in Spanish talking about how he's in the line of Yankee catchers from Dickey to Berra to Munson to Posada. That one hasn't aged well. |
