You're right. Steve Carlton and Greg Maddux were two more multiple Cy winners who never threw one. Remember all those years that Carlton wouldn't talk to the media? Could you imagine a star player doing that today? Not only would Carlton not talk, he got some of the younger pitchers who looked up to him to do the same thing. He talked regularly during his spectacular first season with the Phillies in 1972, but after he had a bad 1973 he didn't like the way they covered him and stopped doing interviews.

Scherzer putting on a master class. He's at 100 pitches, which may be the Yankees only hope.

Sherzer of course in his Normal cy young mode today but this game is still winnable. Kluber looked decent again couple too many walks but leaving 2-1 in the sixth can't complain.

And all the times Castro didn't get a hit there for the Yankees. Yeah, O'Neill was saying earlier how Castro had improved in hitting to all fields. Funny how many players improve after NY

I’ve seen enough of Ford at the plate. Let Miggy have a shot or bring up Gittens. Yeah. I’m done with him, too. Like as a kid when you’ve played out a toy...
