Sheesh, once you get past Stanton it should be pretty smooth sailing for the Nats until you come back around to DJLM. I don't think Giancarlo is going to see many good pitches.
I am going to have to miss most of this game, but that might be a good thing.

Exactly. And he is the one slumping guy who is a lock to get back on track. Part of Mother Boone's two-day rest strategy I guess.

German’s turnaround coincided with Higashioka catching him. We’ll see if that success will continue with Sanchez. I don’t understand the constant shuffling of the lineup each game.

Aaron Hicks is hitting .169/.294/.239/.534 from the left side, which he will be today....and batting third.

Ford flubs the scoop on a fine play from DJLM. Getting tired of Ford.

How come Soto or Turner don't take days off? Don't they know that's what smart organizations do?

Soto hits into a double play to end the inning!

Sweet little DP. I’m wondering. With all these upper cut swings, if the ball is barreled, it rises as hit if you get under the baseball or right on it. If you miss and wind up contacting the top of the ball, the ball will have a downward trajectory. So is the bottom of the bat getting more exposure to the incoming ball during a high launch angle slight miss? Where else are all the dps coming from? ...

Ross pitches around Stanton to get to Hicks. No surprise.

Are double plays more prevalent this season around the league? Certainly, we’ve seen enough from the Yankees.
