Good AB by Hicks, working the count and driving a pitch hard. His average must be over .170 now!

Did you know that MACHO MAN RANDY SAVAGE played minor league baseball? I heard that before, I think he made a smart career change. Apparently it was because of injury. But he actually did contribute in a major way to MLB. He invented roping a tire to a tree and hitting it with a bat to build up your wrists... and his team mate eventually became a hitting coach and brought it to the majors... Yes, I am currently watching a mini documentary on Randy Savage lol

Zero confidence that Sanchez was getting a hit there.

Nice find on the card. Poffo never got past high A. He was decently patient at the plate, showed little power. Primarily a catcher, he also dabbled at 1B and in the OF... apparently back then he already had the “Macho Man” nickname...He went straight from high school to the minors and was ready to move on to greater things by age 21...

German through four innings unscathed. His best start this season with Sandwich behind the dish.

Interesting. It seems I’m getting the YES camera work. My announcers are sitting in Washington, DC... That's really screwed up They were questioning why “the Yankees crew” were showing the Soto pop up. One of them was dumb enough to think he was kissing his bat when he was smelling the burnt lumber...
