Gardy, Zimmerman, Molina, and Votto. CHI had three out of four! We all should have known Votto. Shame on us. He gets far too little acknowledgement... I blame myself.

According to Wikipedia, the Yankees have had the most Major League Baseball players with at least ten years of service with one team (25). The next closest team is the Detroit Tigers with 15. Those Yankees are Spud Chandler, Joe Collins, Earle Combs, Frankie Crosetti, Bill Dickey, Joe DiMaggio, Whitey Ford, Lou Gehrig, Jake Gibbs, Ron Guidry, Tommy Henrich, Derek Jeter, Arndt Jorgens, Mickey Mantle, Don Mattingly, Gil McDougald, Thurman Munson, Jorge Posada, Bobby Richardson, Mariano Rivera, Phil Rizzuto, Red Rolfe, Mel Stottlemyre, Roy White, Bernie Williams. Happy to have my surname on the list! Rizzuto’s are a loyal bunch. They're missing Gardner. His career isn’t over, yet.

Hicks takes a hard foul off the shin. You guys remember Dye with Oakland breaking his leg against the Yankees?

Well, he’s walking around, but that had to hurt.

Hicks takes a hard foul off the shin. You guys remember Dye with Oakland breaking his leg against the Yankees? Did he? Or did Tonya Harding sneak in there with a pipe?

I really miss the three-man booth with Cone. It’s nice to get the pitcher’s perspective.

Hicks takes a hard foul off the shin. You guys remember Dye with Oakland breaking his leg against the Yankees? I think that was a playoff game when Dye broke his leg.

Gently steering the ball away from the double play...

You know, Hicks may become a better hitter if he has to be quieter in the box with that sore shin. Way too much movement.
