It took great insight and wisdom to sign Gerrit Cole. Who do we thank for the defense, base running, and hitting? I wouldn’t bother sending them a card or anything... They did say during Spring Training that this was the most talented group of arms they’ve had, and for the most part that talent is playing well. The only disappointments have been Britton’s injury, Nick Nelson’s preparation, Deivi Garcia’s command, and the long ball for Taillon. Justin Wilson is who I thought he was. Very proud of Luetge and Loaisiga.

Sandwich is having much better at bats lately. I was just texting with Sierchio and noted that Sanchez has been hitting some balls oppo and up the middle. That used to be a harbinger of his hot streaks. Then, he almost homers on what would have been a glorified pop up. Is that it possible that we could see one of those patented hot streaks? It would be most welcome. Something akin to his call up in 2016.

How do we love thee, Baltimore pitching? Gleyber has to be cussing COVID-19, missing his chance to punch up his stats in his favorite ball park.

The Dodgers have acquired infielder Yoshi Tsutsugo from the Rays in exchange for cash considerations or a player to be named later. Infielder Edwin Rios was moved to the 60-day injured list to create roster space for Tsutsugo.

Higgy's hitting .196 but does have a .854 OPS.

Maybe he and Sanchez will be a decent tandem, taking turns heating up and finding the seats... Higgy has only had 50 at bats, so a couple solid games and his stats will look much better. Together, Higgy and Sandwich have 9 homers, 16 RBI, 24 BB. Not bad, and nothing a few hits with RISP wouldn’t cure.
