The Yankees are finally five games over .500 again, tying their high water mark for the season. Joe Torre used to talk to his teams about the importance of getting to five and then ten games over .500. Today is an important game in achieving that goal and keeping momentum churning for the next series. The Yankees should still be ecstatic from last night’s no hitter.
Here’s the Rangers’ lineup:
1. Willie Calhoun (L) LF 2. Nick Solak (R) 2B 3. Nate Lowe (L) 1B 4. Joey Gallo (L) DH 5. Adolis Garcia (R) CF 6. David Dahl (L) RF 7. Isiah Kiner-Falefa (R) SS 8. Charlie Culberson (R) 3B 9. Jonah Heim (S) C

I have a feeling Boone and company will be resting as many players as possible today.

I have a feeling Boone and company will be resting as many players as possible today. I expect Judge to be back in right field. If Frazier still has the neck issue, then Andujar probably gets the left field start. After catching the no hitter, of course, Higgy is on the bench because...Boone.

And, once again, I overestimated Boone and underestimated his meddlesomeness. Judge and Urshela are not in the lineup. Why put your best hitters on the field to win a road series, when you can always split and have a lineup of five players batting in the .128 to .189 range?

We have infielders in the outfield, infielders shuffled into unfamiliar positions. What could go wrong today?
I think Boone got jealous of Tampa’s versatility and created his own so he could play with the lineup more...
Incredible that Judge and Urshela both need this game off...

Now we’re inventing ways to hit into double plays...
Who would have expected Torres to lead the team in stolen bases?

Have to wonder how this team has won so many games with so many 100 averages.
