Just brutal, but hopefully we can manage the rest of August pretty easily given the shitty opponents and get Didi back immediately after this DL stint. Shocked they didn't call up Wade with the next two games being in NL park.
I'm never one to yearn for waiver pickups, but it is borderline negligent we haven't gotten OF help. Frazier and Judge are nowhere near rehab games, let alone returning. You cannot go into September with Shane Robinson and Neil Walker getting PT in RF. While Stanton will try RF in Miami, nobody knows how his hamstring will hold up either.

He almost caught that ball in the last game...How can you be so dismissive of someone who almost made a major league catch???

So is Sanchez coming back this year?
In terms of OF, where did Ellsbury go to....we are still paying him a fortune.

Aroldis placed on DL with knee tendinitis
The Yankees placed Aroldis Chapman on the 10-day disabled list with left knee tendinitis on Wednesday, a day after the closer exited the club's 2-1, 12-inning win over the Marlins after throwing just six pitches.
Chapman underwent an MRI that revealed no structural damage, and the Yankees plan to have him return to New York to be further evaluated by team physician Christopher Ahmad on Friday. Chapman is hopeful that he can return in the minimum 10 days.

Gary Sanchez began his rehab assignment with the Rookie GCL Yankees East at DH, going 0-3 with a walk and a run scored.
Aroldys Chapman received a platelet-rich injection to his knee and will be reevaluated in a couple weeks.
Didi Gregorius: "Still a little sore," Gregorius said. "Who’s going to be healthy 100 percent while they’re playing this game. It’s way better than it’s supposed to be so I think that’s a good step forward."
Sonny Gray: "I'm completely healthy. I truly believe I'm one of the best healers on this planet," Gray said.

I truly believe I'm one of the best healers on this planet," Gray said. Gray was subsequently traded to the New Yorg Gankkees on planet Xenon for a future draft pick. The average Xenonian player is 12 1/2 feet tall and the average fastball on the planet speeds in at 346 MPH...Since the atmosphere is thinner on Xenon, Gray is expected to be able to top 140, so he will need his curve ball and all of the other pitches he used to use on Earth before getting his arse kicked to the tune of a 7.00 ERA while using them...The new Yankee player from Xenon will be chosen based on his ability to breathe our heavy atmosphere without exploding. The New Yorg teams says they don't care if Gray can breathe on their planet or not. If he can't his short career will at least be entertaining to the fans.....

I'm getting really nervous about Judge's return. And having him tight when he comes back is huge, too...
