What have the Yankees done to Garcia? He doesn't look like the same guy we saw last season. I was wondering the same thing. They need to trade him so he can realize his potential. |

If Giancarlo Stanton needs a day off from DHing after one game back, he should probably have stayed on the IL. Gio Urshela is 29 years old. He can't play a day game after a night game? This is madness. Boone is like some hyper-solicitous old granny worried that the little ones might scrape a knee. I know Stanton sitting was preplanned because that's the way the Yankees do things, but he struck out 4 out of the 5 times last night, so he didn't do anything that would need to have today's game off. You think this team could adjust. |

I still think one of the biggest issues is DJ is not hitting like the player he was the last two seasons.

It's like well this script gets us to the playoffs most likely it will all work out there. |

YES was just showing some pictures of Ty Cobb but they skipped this one. That is a great picture. That would get you a nice suspension today, but it was how the game was played. I knew a few people who saw Ty Cobb play. They weren't fans of his, but acknowledged that he was electrifying to watch. I am not getting the YES broadcast, but I assume they showed the famous picture of him sliding into third against the Highlanders with Jimmy Austin taking the throw. One of the great sports photos ever. |
