Watching Andujar crush that home run was both satisfying and exhilarating. So proud to see him starting to look like Miggy Doubles again. It wasn’t long ago that the Yankees were in the seventh game of the AL Championship, losing to the cheating and eventual World Series Champion Houston Astros, with Miggy manning third base. The guy has been through a lot, losing essentially two seasons with a career threatening shoulder surgery, an out of nowhere Gio Urshela taking his position, then COVID-19 eliminating any chance to recapture his swing. Through everything, no complaints and no excuses. Just a ball player needing an opportunity to get back to where he was. Here’s hoping he gets there:  |

Last 7 games: .296/.321/.741/1.062 During the at bat in which he homered: 1.000/1.000/1.000/3.000 ❗️ You know what was cool? This is a Miggy we’ve scarcely seen. He’s mostly spanked hard low line drives. They occasionally cleared the fence, sometimes one-hopped walls, sometimes hitting the wall on the fly. We haven’t seen a second deck in the deep reaches of a stadium Andujar like this one. Miggy two-bags might have just become Miggy 4- bags. He made Sanchez home run look like it was hit by a baby… |
