As you know, a lot of people gave Larry Rothschild and the Yankees crap for Gray's struggles in NY. He went back to being good with Cincinnati. National League. Walk number 8 to pitch to number 9 is an advantage, even with the way hitting is these days. Also, of his ten starts this season he’s gone fewer than five innings five times. Yea, his whining when he left rubbed me the wrong way too.

Well, I don't know that we gave up on him. Just needed a developed pitcher at the time. Unfortunately it turned out to be the Sonny Gray fiasco. Dustin Fowler was on the DL at the time of the trade, too. It was a good trade, and if Gray would have pitched at home like he did on the road, he’d still be wearing Pinstripes. That trade should have worked. They had no way of knowing that he would be a headcase for home games. They had no choice but to pull the plug on him.

Especially since his struggles on the road weren’t just a one-season fluke. I really doubt Rothschild would have wanted him to pitch differently had he been successful. And, even then, pitching coaches don’t usually mess with veterans.

Why do the Yankees have so many issues getting teams out with 2 outs?

Why do the Yankees have so many issues getting teams out with 2 outs? And hitting with RISP?

Since we are reminiscing about Sonny Gray:
I'm telling you Kaybli, you have to send these things to Cashman. I think he'd hire you for the media department.

LOOOOOOT-GEEEE. He pitches his way out of the jam with a real mamma jamma back door breaking ball… Do you remember that song "She's A Bad Mama Jama" by Carl Carlton? No. As about a 12-14 year old I was exposed to a porn flick by a “lady” with that name. She was a large, large-busted black lady that a think specialized in gang bang flicks. Sometimes it looked like she had three heads when everything would spill upward. Sorry. You know I have trouble holding back information…
