Yikes. Now, we know where all the double plays come from. How do you even fix that? You have to hope it to be anomalous in nature, and that it will self correct. It does seem odd that with all of the sluggers and talk of launch angle that one of the teams that has more sluggers than most is stuck in such a strange statistical slot, though… I’ve seen so many hard hit grounders to third this year that have been cleanly fielded and turned into the front end of a double play that it would seem were were due to see some of those get through for extra base hits…
