Michael Kay wondering why Sanchez isn’t in the running for the MLB All-Star Game. Perhaps because for April and most of May, Sandwich was terrible and at one point lost his starting role to Higashioka. Had Higashioka stayed hot, Sanchez may not have gotten the chance to emerge as a threat in June. I still don't fully trust Sanchez 100% he was cold for like 2 years.

The most unique female voice in history. What a beautiful tone… such a low alto that she was bordering on a tenor at times… How true. Maybe my favorire female singer. Mine, too. I can really get into Stevie Nicks, but her voice is nowhere near to being sweet and pure like Karen Carpenters was. Patty Smyth. Olivia Newton- John. Kim Carnes for a throaty, scratchy voice was amazing. In that category, I thought one-time American Idol contestant Elise Testone to have a wonderful voice. There’s quite a list, really. That makes it difficult to select a favorite. Unless you have Karen Carpenter. And we did…

Anybody catch Gordon Lightfoot and “Rainy Day People”? Solid number. I did a mean version of “Rain, Rain Go Away” when I was about six years old…

Mandolin Rain has lots of memories for me. All rather tragic. But, a great song.

Maybe the granddaddy of the rain songs. Written by Tony Joe White, covered by everybody, but popularized by Brook Benton.
