Even though the teams sucks, for some reason, I still miss watching them suck it up now that its two days without games. I may have Stockholm Syndrome.

A few thoughts on 7 inning games:
Records, like a four-homer game, a six or seven hit game become unlikely. The strikeout record, a perfect game / no hitter become near impossible (yes, extra innings could happen).
It’s down-right silly to have ghost runners in the eighth inning.
I hate them

The strikeout record, a perfect game / no hitter become near impossible (yes, extra innings could happen). It’s down-right silly to have ghost runners in the eighth inning. I hate them You hate them We all hate them… How about those fans that bought tickets to Sunday night's 4th of July game and now are only getting 7 innings instead of 9? That's just so lame. |

Less product, lower value… It will be interesting to see what the attendance will be for that Sunday afternoon game since it was not originally scheduled? |

Curry says they were thinking of doing a day/night double city double header on Sep 11, but did the 4th of July thing instead.

The fans were booing that announcement when it was made at the Stadium. Then they were calling into the Yankees station WFAN ripping the team, partly for the reasons you stated and partly because many people who had tickets for last night's game had plans for July 4 and will have to settle for something other than a subway series game. Yankee management is not winning a lot of fan support these days. |

To be perfectly clear, I was solidly against the Yankees acquiring Taijan Walker last winter. He’s been too pedestrian, I said. He’s injured all the time, I said. Hmm. 6-3; 2.38. Not a bad first half. I hope Yankee batters give be some support, because right now I’m feeling a little dumb on this matter. Let’s score enough against this guy to give that ERA at least a bit of a jolt, okay?…
