Was encouraging to see a couple forkballs thrown. To me, he needs to throw that pitch more often to find his release point again.

I watched the last inning under full influence of ambien, while dozing through a batter here and there. More than anyone else, I appreciate Rizz’s replay of the relief appearance by Chapman. I hadn’t realized his velocity was down that much. It’s amazing he wriggled through that jam without being scored on. The M’s, I think, I had an all RHH bench…perhaps a pinch hitter would have fouled the waters badly…

A lot to like about last nights game. We struck out at a lot lower rate than our season average(except Sanchez). We were 7-15 with RISP and we got a great outing from Tallion. Voit getting 5 hits might have been the highlight for me. I have thought all along our success, or lack of, would depend on improvement from out existing players. Voit hitting well in the middle of the lineup would be a good boost. Hate all the runners left on base but that might be picking at nits.
