I watched the last inning under full influence of ambien, while dozing through a batter here and there. More than anyone else, I appreciate Rizz’s replay of the relief appearance by Chapman. I hadn’t realized his velocity was down that much. It’s amazing he wriggled through that jam without being scored on. The M’s, I think, I had an all RHH bench…perhaps a pinch hitter would have fouled the waters badly… A right-handed pinch hitter was the move to make for Seattle, rather than another at bat from Shed Long. |

Urshela looks late on every pitch tonight. Odd since he's hit decent this year I noticed he's not using his legs at all when he's swinging. The All Star Break should do Geo some good, some well needed rest for that knee that's been bothering him all season. |
