Pitched really well last few games but man this offense is gonna burn the pitching staff out. Need some comfortable wins now and then. Cashman must get some LHBs in the next few weeks.

That's what it was like in the 70's to watch a stud Ace like Guidry or Seaver, truly a flashback performance from Cole. Special thanks to Chapman for sucking so bad that this had to happen. Boone reasoned Cole going far deeper because every other starter gets pulled at 76 pitches. It all evens out as a staff.  |

With Andujar going on the DL I dunno how you just stand part with Wade/Locastro as 2 of your OFS one of them is fine in a backup position, but you are forced to use one of them each game because they seriously only have 3 OF on the Roster + Wade. |

Brantley had a brilliant at bat. He scares me more than any other Astros hitter. He’s their LeMahieu… line drives in the clutch… He should be batting 2nd or 3rd for NYY if Hal wasn't such a cheapskate. |

Not defending Boone, but his visit may have had an unintended consequence in giving Cole a jolt of adrenaline! Three pitches later, ballgame!  Boone playing chess while we play checkers, you're right!  He's usually playing Candyland while everyone else is playing checkers |

Boone likes to manage for the future, but not for the next 7 years… 😂 Actually, it was strange to see one pitcher reducing his work load because of the All-Star break and the other allowed to pitch til his arm fell off because of the All-Star break. Brantley is not much in the field, but it’s fair to say he’s better than Andujar. But Brantley’s throwing is really bad… and if Stanton goes to left field he’s certainly very badly broken with a few days… |
