Do you even remember test patterns, Kaybli? Do they still exist? LOL, its from a video game that mimics the 50s. I don't think they still exist. Stations don't sign off anymore. That's when you used to see them. Or before sign-on around 5 AM. During rainouts a lot of teams used to show old movies. "Rainout Theater." One year the Phillies kept showing "Mighty Joe Young" during rainouts. Guess the cinema budget was tight.

The Yankees used to have a pitcher named Wade Taylor or was it Taylor Wade? Man, those were dark days. A rotation that also included guys like Tim Leary and Chuck Cary and Scott Kamieniecki and Jeff Johnson. I actually liked Scott Kamieniecky. With Tim Leary, I was never turned on, but I tuned in and quickly tuned out.

NESN has rain delay commentary. Not that it’s very entertaining, but at least they try…

Don't know if Boone would let Montgomery go back out there, although there have certainly been enough instances of pitchers returning after similar delays. Also it would be in line with his early out policy and deny Monty a shot at a win, something Boone delights doing to starting pitchers.

Yep, their last glory era. Bonds, Van Slyke, Bonilla. N.L. Cy Young winner Doug Drabeck, stolen from the Yankees. The trade for Cecilio Guante and Rick Rhoden.

Just catching up on the game thread and watching the game from the beginning. In the bottom of the second right now. I’d have liked to see what Monty could do with a five run lead. He’s maturing in his game management, if only Boone would allow him to work out of trouble in the middle innings.

If the Angels could DFA Pujols certainly the Yankees could do the same with Gardner.
